Just saw this up at www.joblo.com Still blown away that Herzog is doing a remake of BAD LIEUTENANT. In any event, here's the teaser/announcement poster. Looks appropriately gritty.
I'm not entirely sure what I think about this project. Were it not Herzog, I'd flat out reject it. Seemed like they did a pretty good job the first time thru. Then again, the Herzog-Cage combo, those are two guys who COMMIT, so it could turn out interesting.
The good/bad thing about Cage is that sometimes he's sooo committed, that it being a good or bad performance depends on wether it's a good or bad movie. I mean, WICKER MAN was awful, but Cage at least was on the same page.
I'm betting Herzog can get something really good out of him.
