Gonna check out Greg Mottola's new sci-fi comedy Paul. I am a big fan of Mottola's previous film, Adventureland, and this new one looks right up my alley.
Still have You Will Meet a Tall, Dark Stranger from Netflix.
Fun and frothy, it is! Fun ride. Very R-rated (perhaps less vulgarity than, say, "Pineapple Express," but no less pot-smoking). Surprisingly smart little movie. Pegg/Frost are great as usual. Mottola's direction is solid. Seth Rogen actually makes Paul into--I'll say it--a human character. You definitely learn to care about him. But it's mostly just a really, really, really funny and zany bit of lunacy.
Yup! Seeing "Paul" in a couple of hours (a 2:45 showing). Cannot wait. Looks absurdly funny.
