Yes, again with that word. If the film earns the title it shall be bestowed with it. Body Double is one-of-a-kind, made at a very specific time in Hwood, and made by a filmmaker going thru some intense personal issues which clearly informed his work (much like Peckinpah with Straw Dogs). This is a film that could never be made again and have it turn out the same way. Go read Pauline Kael's review of the film...this is top 5 De Palma to be sure.
