wow dude. very impressive. nice to see zodiac stood the test of time. can't wait to get into some of your presents tomorrow during my snow day. the only one i disagree with is pathfinder. i had that up in my top ten at #4. the special effects were just as good as any i saw this year. i hope you'll consider a best director nod. cullen, you DB

I presume that Matthew is a friend and that his banter about Pathfinder is the absudity that it appears to be. I think your list is pretty much spot on, though I might take exception with Jesse James being as high. I have not yet seen the There will be blood film, but I have heard it is quite compelling. Good effort though and thanks for sharing.

What was your reaction to the lack of coverage of the Globes last night?

Yes, Matthew is a friend, and he knows full well that Pathfinder is trash.

What didn't you like about Jesse James? I thought it was a masterwork.

The Golden Globes announcement last night, as I figured it would be, was a joke. The awards themselves...well...Atonement winning best picture is not right (it's very well done but not the best film of the year) but I was pleased to see Schnabel win best director. Nothing really surprised me though except for those two awards.

I can't wait to see There Will Be Blood again...waiting on the second viewing before writing up my full review.
