Also...a happy new year to everyone out there...the last few weeks have been a crazy time, and the future promises to be even more exciting. I just got engaged last week to my girlfriend so this year is going to be incredible. Best wishes to anyone who reads this column regularly, once in a while, or is just finding it for the first time. Go out and see a movie and take some friends and a family member and talk about it and discuss it and argue about it and then go see it again.

Congrats on getting engaged. I'm incredibly jealous that you are probably watching the end of There Will Be Blood as I'm typing this. I'm gonna go way out on a limb here...masterpiece? I fractured my f-ing ankle over the holidays so my movie going is gonna be severely curtailed, but that is the one film that I will manage to go see, and soon.
The film is in fact a masterpiece, the best film to date for PTA. It's a stunning achievement. I am not sure where it falls in my top 10; need to sleep on it. Review will appear soon...
