I'm interested to check this out, which is saying something, as both Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba are dealbreakers for me. Lousy, lousy actresses...
Wayne -- nice to hear from you! I am in total agreement -- Hudson (easily my least fav actress) and Alba are toxic. It's the Afflect-Winterbottom-Jim Thompson trifecta that appeals to me. Now...I have read numerous reviews that heaped a respectable amount of praise on both Hudson and Alba, so maybe I'll turn the corner on them with this one...
This one looks phenomenal in every respect. Might have to ready myself before seeing it, but it could be worth it.
I've almost always enjoyed Hudson in her movies, even the really bad ones. She's not amazing, but she's infectious. Alba's roles are morphing into each other, though.
