MASSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT

It's official -- Terrence Malick's probable masterwork The Tree of Life has been delayed a full year. Excuse me while I vomit. The good news is that it's been picked up by Fox Searchlight, so one would presume that the film will get a major awards push/wide release next fall. But to have to wait another full year to get a glimpse at what Malick has been up to for the last 5 years is just fucking excruciating.

Agreed completely with every word. I fully anticipate the film, but I've been doing so since early 2009 and cannot wait much longer before exploding.

Oh yeah, two projects I'll be taking part in once I've gotten into the Air Force and gotten on a base and gotten a Netflix:

First and foremost, I'll be renting every season of every show I've never seen. That'll take about a year. This is the shortlist of what I have planned (in random order): "The Sopranos," "Dexter," "Mad Men," "Rescue Me," "Six Feet Under," "Breaking Bad," "Justified," "Californication," "The Wire," "Nurse Jackie," "Deadwood," "Sons of Anarchy," "United States of Tara," "True Blood," "Friday Night Lights," "The Shield," "Treme," "Modern Family" (since I inexplicably stopped watching a while back), "Eastbound & Down," "In Treatment," "Damages." I would put "Glee" on the list, if not for the fact that I just started it this week and am obsessed.

And the second project warrants a post all its own, even if it's only one sentence. Here it is:

I will slowly, over the course of time, watch as many movies as I possibly can from my book "1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die."

Wow -- you've got some AMAZING stuff to sink your teeth into. Have fun!

And what do you mean by "your book"?

LOL. I meant the book I own. It's certainly not my own. :P

But yeah, looking forward to these two projects greatly.
