SOMEONE ASKED ME...

...what some of my favorite television shows have been over this past decade. There's been a lot. Here's what I came up with on the spot:

1. The X-Files
2. Mad Men
3. Friday Night Lights
4. Entourage
5. Deadwood
6. The Shield
7. Rescue Me
8. The Sopranos
9. South Park
10. Lost

Runners up: The Office, Curb Your Enthusiasm, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Eastbound and Down, Californication, 30 Rock, Rome, Robbery Homicide Division, So You Think You Can Dance, Hell’s Kitchen, Top Chef, Extras.

You need to watch "Modern Family." It's slowly becoming my favorite comedy series...ever. It is INCREDIBLY funny, Nick.

THANK YOU for putting "The X-Files" at number 1. That show only had two (2) episodes I never saw: one because it was just too disturbing, the other because the fucking DVD splurted out on me and wouldn't play the episode. But otherwise, it is the best show ever produced for television. It is addictive.

Actually, when/if I transfer to another college next August (one about an hour from where I live), I'll be buying, purchasing, season by season of four shows that I have never, for varying reasons, watched. Those are "Mad Men," "Deadwood," "The Shield," and "The Sopranos." But what I mean is, I'll be actually purchasing just those. Others that I've missed I will rent the seasons from. This "only seeing movies" thing is getting old, and I've missed quality TV for too long.

I know I'm behind on Modern Family -- I'll likely catch up with it when the first season hits DVD. My sister has also been singing its praises.
