Oh, I just heard an interview of the director on NPR this morning.... a short ditty... Man, this movie is gonna be dark, but I think a "must see...." I have not read the book either...may be a must read, too....

I hate this poster. There. I said it. But I'm looking forward to the movie, simply for the word-of-mouth. The trailers are generic and ordinary, but the reviews say that it's grim. The book is VERY grim, so that's why I have passing interest in seeing it whenever it comes my way. I have about ten other movies I want to see more, though.

Oh and I saw "An Education" today. Nick, no reason trying to sell you on it since you've already voiced quite an interest in seeing it whenever you can. So I'll just say: WHAT a wonderful movie. I mean, it sort of has the same pull as "(500) Days of Summer" as being a breathlessly romantic film. Carey Mulligan and Peter Sarsgaard were spectacular. I can't wait for your thoughts on it. :)

Joel -- have you seen The Proposition? If so...you'd be as pumped as I am for The Road.

Giggles -- haven't read the book yet but really want too
