I do love Top Gun (definitely **** from me). But I don't know if it'd be on my list of action flicks...I don't know why...

Anyway...I'll have to think about this one...

Definite ones to include here for me that are on your list: Die Hard (I like the third one a lot, but I think it would be a Top 20er for me), The Bourne Ultimatum (may be somewhere near the top).

Ones that aren't: Speed (not Speed 2, though that isn't cuz I hate it), The Fugitive...so many...OH and Raiders, DUH. Possibly Transformers, though I don't know about top ten of all time. Top ten of the decade, sure, but all time? I dunno.

I'll think for a few minutes on this one. Look for it in my next comment.

Here it is:

1. Raiders of the Lost Ark
2. The Fugitive
3. Die Hard
4. The Bourne Ultimatum
5. Speed
6. Bad Boys
7. Die Hard 2
8. Jurassic Park
9. Mission: Impossible III

For #10...I realize I'm cheating, but I don't care...

10. The combined shootout sequences in Heat and The International (two best shootouts in cinematic history, imo, even if International isn't perfect) would make the most action-packed short film ever. EVER. Bay would be squealing for joy.

Great list, great movies!
Here is my Top 10:

1. Terminator 2
2. The Rock
3. Top Gun
4. Die Hard 2
5. The Bourne Ultimatum
6. Face/Off
7. Lethal Weapon
8. Mission: Impossible II
9. Bad Boys
10. Speed

Although Indy and Jurassic Park have a lot of action I see them more as adventure movies. :-)

I loved Speed. Almost made the list. Same with True Lies. Blown Away is also underrated (that was an amazing summer -- the summer of '94). The Fugitive is a great film and almost made the list as well.

Transformers is obviously a movie I love, but it's sort of a sci-fi/action hybrid.

I like your list overall. Looking forward to seeing The International in a few weeks when it hits DVD.

And Alan Smithee -- nice list!

I don't know how you could leave The Fugitive off your list. Questionable. Very questionable.

As you can see from the list, Biff -- these are mainly pure action films. Last time I checked The Fugitive was a drama spiked with some great sequences of action. You don't know your genres it seems.
