HOW DARE THEY MAKE US WAIT?!

Last night's finale of Lost's fifth season was intense. This show has gotten so layered that it's gonna take an act of god to unravel all of the narrative's mysteries during its final 16 episode season next year. **SPOILERS** With the apparent detonation of a nuclear device in the episode's final moments, and with that sketchy flash-to-white with the tagline: 2010. The End Begins, Lost is really going to be something special to experience next year. For those of us who have remained faithful to this brilliant, one-of-a-kind show, the pay-off could be truly spectacular. Or...an epic fail. We'll see...

As usual with LOST, I went into the episode hoping for some answers to some of the mythology.....and left with more questions. But that's one of the many reasons I love the show.

So who is the man in black at the beginning with Jacob? Smoke monster?

Locke is dead!? I mean really dead?

Does the bomb reset time like Faraday theorized?

Did Ben really kill Jacob?

Are Rose and Bernard the skeletons found in Season 1 ?

One thing that got me....after the reveal that Locke isn't Locke (or something), that is that it makes the scene last week where Locke 2.0 told Richard to tell Original Locke that he HAD TO DIE all the more stunning.

One thing I'm not too pleased with is the whole Juliet changing her mind storyline. Seemed shoehorned in and lame. One second she wants to leave, then stay, then leave, blah blah blah.

Neat to see Dr. Candle injure his arm in the incident. Longtime viewers know that he had a fake arm in the Dharma videos.

Is it 2010 yet?

All phenomenal questions, Lemmy. And all questions that I have no answers too :)

This show thrives on its mystery like nothing else before.

Next season has the potential to be revelatory every night.
