WILL FERRELL TO FART AROUND WITH SOME DINOSAURS

Will Ferrell will star in the long gestating big-screen adaptation of kitschy 70's television show LAND OF THE LOST. Production begins in March 2008 for a probable summer 2009 release date. Budget is set around $100 million. Brad Silberling (LEMONY SNICKET, MOONLIGHT MILE) is directing.

LAND OF THE LOST centers around a disgraced paleontologist (presumably Ferrell), his assistant, and a macho tour guide who find themselves in a strange world populated by dinosaurs, monkey people, and weird reptile-like creatures.

Sounds completely asinine. It'll probably be a big PG-rated family comedy. I hope it's funny along the lines of ELF.
