CRITICAL ROUND UP

ELIZABETH: THE GOLDEN YEARS is getting savagely beaten by the nation's critics. It's currently at 25% at rottentomatoes.com which is pretty surprising given the pedigree both infront and behind the camera.

MICHAEL CLAYTON is getting phenomenal reviews, sitting at roughly 90% at rottentomatoes.com; looks like another critical favorite (though probably box office underperformer) for George Clooney.

WE OWN THE NIGHT is getting mixed/positive reviews it seems; at rottentomatoes.com it's listed currently at 52%. It seems if you really like the cop/crime genre, you'll really like the film.

SLEUTH, with Jude Law and Michael Caine and directed by Kenneth Branagh, is getting pretty much killed. Rottentomatoes.com has it at 44% at the moment.

LARS AND THE REAL GIRL seems to be getting solid reviews; it's at 77% at rottentomatoes.com

I am very sad how Elizabeth is getting beaten. I was looking forward to this one.

Me too. With so many movies out at the moment, looks like I will wait for DVD on this one. Never thought I'd hear myself say that about this film.

Shekhar Kapur's 4 out of 4, 5 out of 5 star masterwork "Elizabeth: The Golden Age".

Shekhar Kapur is a cinematic genius. He has really outdone himself this time. He's a sheddah....a feeya.
